Dru Down is an East Oakland rapper (and the son of funk legend Bootsy Collins) who broke out of the Bay Area with his 1994 album Explicit Game.
Its single "Pimp of the Year" crossed onto the Billboard Hot 100, and the follow-up album Can You Feel Me reached the Billboard 200.
He is a flamboyant, high-energy performer and part of Yukmouth's Regime collective.
